“…Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.” Follow the path that you feel God wants you on.
I entered priestly formation when I entered Cathedral Preparatory Seminary in Elmhurst. It was in the high school seminary of the diocese that I began my discernment for the Priesthood of Jesus Christ. During my time at “the Prep”, I was greatly influenced by Father John Cush. In June of 2008 I graduated from Cathedral Preparatory Seminary. I wanted to continue my discernment for the priesthood; therefore I decided continue my formation by entering the college seminary of the diocese. In September of 2008, I entered Cathedral Seminary Residence of the Immaculate Conception in Douglaston.
I truly enjoy being a seminarian for the Diocese of Brooklyn. The people of Brooklyn and Queens make the Church here great; where else does one find the whole world. Brooklyn is where I am from, and I believe that Brooklyn is where God wants me to be a priest.
My home parish is Good Shepherd in Marine Park. It was in my home parish that I taught the faith to others in the parish religious education program. The example of the fine priests of Good Shepherd have inspired me; I have been blessed to have known them, and to have them a part of my life.
The only thing that I would say to a man considering a calling to the priesthood is to be open. Allow God into your life, all that you have to do is to listen, and say “YES”.
